Wind gusts as high as around 60 miles per hour have resulted in downed trees and tree limbs, with eastern Connecticut most heavily affected.
As of around 7:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, Eversource is reporting a total 11,840 customers without power.
The areas most affected are:
- Woodstock (1,547) in Windham County,
- East Lyme (723) in New London County,
- Waterford (631) in New London County,
- New London (593) in New London County,
- Ledyard (514) in New London County,
- Hebron (504) in Tolland County,
- Ashford in Windham County (488).
United Illuminated is reporting 13 outages, with 11 in Woodbridge New Haven County.
